A survey, even a cursory one, of the prophecies demonstrating this claim is beyond the scope of this book; the prophecies and their explanations are simply too numerous. Study of the Holy Scriptures by individuals of all religious backgrounds continues to yield a wealth of information and a succession of excellent books on this subject and I commend them to the readers attention . My purpose here is not to bring forward historical evidence in support of this great claim; this has been done elsewhere. My purpose is rather to focus on the possibility that those same obstacles which kept the Jewish people from believing in Christ, could in this day, prevent the seeking soul from recognizing Him at His Return
