God is transcendental-- beyond our comprehension and our imaginative power. Therefore all speculation about the reality of God, such as the ideas of the Incarnation and the Trinity in Christian theology, is vain and condemned to failure. Baha'u'llah, the founder of the Baha'i Faith, proclaims the absolute transcendence of God: "God, singly and alone, abideth in His Own Place which is Holy above space and time, mention and utterance, sign, description and definition, height and depth".
