Prophecies Given by Baha'u'llah (18:2) In the Bible we are told that God knows the future and that He will cause whatever events are necessary in order to make His prophecies come true: (18:3) I am God, and there is none like me. (18:4) I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please. (18:5) From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that will I bring about; what I have planned, that will I do. (isa 46:9-11 NIV) (18:6) see And in the verses below, we see that if the predictions of a prophet do not come true, then that prophet is false: (18:7) And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? (18:8) When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him. (deu 18:21-22) (18:9) see Jesus also confirms the importance of prophetic knowledge when He says and he will shew you things to come (joh 16:13). (18:10) see No one can predict future events with complete accuracy unless He is of God. And this is what Baha'u'llah has done: (18:11) We have laid bare the divine mysteries and in most explicit language foretold future events. (tbh 241) (18:12) Most of the things which have come to pass on this earth have been announced and prophesied by the Most Sublime Pen.. (18:13) All that hath been sent down hath and will come to pass, word for word, upon earth. No possibility is left for anyone either to turn aside or protest. (esw 148, 150) (18:14) Baha'u'llah's letters to the kings and rulers of the world, whom He addressed collectively and individually, fulfilled these words of the Isaiah: (18:15) And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people. (isa 2:4) (18:16) see And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth. (isa 24:21) (18:17) see From His prison, Baha'u'llah wrote: Not one of the rulers of His day was found to investigate His claim. He warned, and then predicted, the downfall of those who turned a deaf ear to His words. (18:19) Below are brief descriptions of some of Baha'u'llah's prophecies. (For those interested in further study, thirty prophecies of Baha'u'llah and their fulfillment are discussed with wonderful succinctness and clarity in a book entitled Every Eye Shall See, by Gary Matthews. Two other books by the same author, The Challenge of Baha'u'llah and He Cometh With Clouds, fully document the circumstances by which each one of these prophecies has been dramatically fulfilled.)
